WATCH: Unpacking the Ferrari 206 S Dino Spider

We were truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for the 1967 Ferrari 206 S Dino Spider when we launched it for sale a little while ago. Which made us think: there’s very little quality content about this lesser-known and ultra-rare Ferrari virtually anywhere online.

Nothing brings these cars to life like seeing and hearing them run. Which is why we recently assembled a crack team of media gurus and temporarily relocated Team Girardo & Co. to an old RAF airfield for the best part of a week to produce a short film exploring the 206 S for our YouTube channel.

Not only did we want to put the 206 S in clear historical context and unpack that breathtaking Drogo design. But we also wanted to find out what this dainty prototype is like to drive quickly, whether that epic F1-derived V6 warrants the hype and, of course, what it sounds like. (Hint: it’s ungodly.) We also wanted to understand why four 250 GTO owners have had chassis 032 in their stables over the years.
