We’re constantly striving to improve here at Girardo & Co. and enhance what we can offer our clients, friends and followers around the world. That’s why we’re so excited to welcome you to our new virtual home, girardo.com…

As you’ll know, we recently upgraded our physical premises and relocated from London to Belchers Farm in Oxfordshire. But we’ve also given our virtual home a serious makeover. Welcome to the new girardo.com, which we’re confident will become a daily destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike. In addition to the usual Cars For Sale, Sold, Collections and About sections atop our homepage, you’ll find two new ones: Magazine and Girardo Archive. In the former, you’ll soon find all our famous films, in addition to our new Print Shop and News sections.

In the Print Shop, you’ll soon find spectacular fine-art prints showcasing the work of the photographers we covet the most – Tom Shaxson is our first featured artist and we guarantee the images we’ve selected would enhance any wall, be it in your office, dining room or garage. The news section is where you’ll find entertaining, insightful and beautifully illustrated stories from within the Girardo & Co. world. As the old saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work and each member of our team is a key cog in the machine. We want to give everyone a voice.

“The news section is where you’ll find entertaining, insightful and beautifully illustrated stories from within the Girardo & Co. world.”

So, in addition to definitive guides on the most famous collector cars in the world, from Ferrari 250 GT ‘Short Wheelbases’ to modern Grand Prix cars, and behind-the-scenes reports from inside the greatest events on the calendar, you can expect regular opinion columns on a wide array of topics from the entire Girardo & Co. team.Think Marcus outlining just what goes into preparing one of his legendary history files, Max explaining how one goes about buying a car with which to compete at the Goodwood Revival, Cat offering a woman’s perspective of our male-dominated world, or Peter ‘Pierre’ Macalpine showing you how to make the perfect cup of coffee.

Finally, The Girardo & Co. Archive is something which we’re extremely proud to present. We won’t give too much away before the official launch later this month, but in essence, it is a collection of over three million motorsport images dating back to the 1970s and spanning Formula 1, endurance racing and rallying. The best bit? Most of said photos have never been seen before – to say it’s a treasure trove would be a massive understatement. An invaluable resource for historians, journalists, collectors and enthusiasts alike, the archive, like the new Print Shop and News sections, is yet another string to the Girardo & Co. bow. Moving forward into a new (and hopefully less stressful!) year, we can’t wait to share much more from our world and, of course, the sensational collector cars we encounter. In the meantime, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Catch you on the flip side.Photos: Tom Shaxson / Rob Cooper for Girardo & Co.
