SOLD - Ferrari F2003-GA 1:5-scale model by S.P.O.R.T.S. Models – Number 124/200

Although Ferrari began the 2003 Formula 1 season with its championship-winning car from the year before, when the F2003-GA  was introduced at the Spanish Grand Prix and subsequently scored two consecutive one-two victories for the Prancing Horse, it was immediately clear that this was going to be the car to beat.

The F2003-GA (‘GA’ denoting the Fiat patriarch Gianni Agnelli, who’d died earlier in the year) scored seven victories from 12 races and, ultimately, awarded Michael Schumacher his sixth World Drivers’ Championship and Ferrari its fifth straight Constructors’ crown.

This impressively large and beautifully detailed 1:5-scale model of Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2003-GA was painstakingly built by S.P.O.R.T.S. Models, a subsidiary of the famous crash helmet manufacturer Bell Racing Europe,  after the 2003 season had concluded. As the small plaque on the car’s right-hand rear floor section shows, this model is number 124 of just 200 produced.

This limited-edition Ferrari model is accompanied by its original carrying case, a clear Perspex display box and its original certificate of authenticity. The photos struggle to do the sheer size of this model justice – it’s huge, which only serves to showcase its accuracy and realism. Whether it’s to display in your office and proudly signal to your colleagues that your blood runs Rosso Scuderia or, just perhaps, to sit alongside the real 1:1-scale F2003-GA in your garage, contact us via the button below and one of our specialists will be in touch.
